Skegness, Ingoldmells, Chapel St Leonards, Mablethorpe, Sutton on sea and Cleethorpes are popular tourist resorts on the Lincolnshire coastline offering traditional seaside leisure activities and sandy beaches. Skegness, Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea have been awarded the new Quality Coast Award as well as the European Blue Flag for their clean beaches. A number of Lincolnshire beaches also feature in the Marine Conservation Society's Good Beach Guide.

The Lincolnshire coast and marshes are characterised by major coastal dune systems, saltmarshes and artificial sea defences. There are extensive sandy beaches.

Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve is a Ramsar wetland site, a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), a National Nature Reserve (NNR), and a Special Protection Area (SPA). The reserve is home to a great variety of birdlife including wildfowl, waders and gulls. Birds such as Little Tern breed at the site, while Bar-tailed Godwit, Grey Plover, Red Knot, and Eurasian Oystercatcher use the site as a winter haven.

Saltfleetby and Theddlethorpe Nature Reserve also offering excellent wildlife viewing, and the Donna Nook Reseve has a native seal colony.
