We really do appreciate the time people take to add comments to the blog. However… as with most blogs we do suffer from continual spam so please take the time to read our Comments Policy, before posting a comment.

Adding comments to a post is beneficial for a blog as it creates traffic, and it keeps the blog updated with new content (which the search engines like).

In return, we offer DOFOLLOW links which can help improve the PageRank of your own blog/website. We also use the KeywordLuv plugin, so that you can benefit from your choice of keywords in the ‘posted by’ link (eg. if you enter your name as ‘Paul @ Coastal Photography‘ then your link text will be ‘Coastal photography’). Not only that, but we use the CommentLuv plugin to automatically look for your latest blog post, and show a DOFOLLOW link to that post.
The Rules
The downside of offering DOFOLLOW, KeywordLuv and CommentLuv is that it attracts hordes of comments spammers, so all comments are subject to the following rules:
- Comments such as ‘great post’, ‘love your blog, it is the best’ whilst being very flattering will be deleted.
- Your comment must make a direct and worthwhile contribution to the page topic. In most cases, you will actually need to read the post!
- We reserve the right to edit posts and delete links to websites that we do not wish to link to.
- Links in the body of your text must be to websites related to the page topic.
- We will not link to sites which offer or promote drugs, casinos, adult material. We will also not link to sites which carry advertisements for the above.
- We reserve the right to insert a NOFOLLOW attribute to websites we are ‘not sure about’.
- We reserve the right to amend the above rules retrospectively, and also to add more rules!
